Who is responsible

Kymu, based at the Digital Health Design Living Lab of the Zurich University of the Arts, is responsible for processing data on this website.

Website delivery and server logs

When you visit this website, the hosting provider processes technical request data such as your IP address, requested page, time, browser information and referrer. This is necessary to deliver and secure the website. The provider's log retention is governed by its hosting settings.

Anonymous website analytics

We use a self-hosted Umami instance to understand aggregate visits, viewed pages, referral sources, approximate country, browser and device type. We also count clicks on the study booking link, contact email links and selected PDF downloads. Umami does not set analytics cookies. The analytics service is operated on infrastructure managed by Kymu; visitor data is not sent to an advertising platform.

To calculate anonymous visitor and session counts, the analytics server processes the request IP address and browser information. It stores aggregated or pseudonymous statistics, rather than a directly identifying visitor profile. We do not send names, email addresses, health information or URL query strings to Umami.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, our analytics script respects it. Browser content blockers may also prevent analytics requests. Analytics records are retained until deleted by the site administrators.

Cookies and local preferences

The site may store a language-preference cookie (kymu_locale) so it can show your preferred language. This is separate from analytics. Umami does not use cookies on this website.

Links to other services

The website links to external services, including Google Calendar for study booking and LinkedIn. Those providers process data under their own privacy notices when you open their pages. Their content is not embedded in this website.

Contact by email

If you email us, we process your address and message to respond to your enquiry. Please do not send sensitive health details through an ordinary email unless necessary.
